Hi, Just wondered if anyone had used the Ecotek Power Boost aerosol - that is advertised as giving a liquid de-coke. Took my daughters 2007 Ford Fiesta for it's MOT last week at our local branch of Hi Q. Not my usual testing station but she had left it a bit late and my regular test station couldn't fit me in that day - so booked it in there. The car past the test - but the examiner came to me after and said that he had had a problem getting the exhaust emissions down and that to start with they were very high, although eventually they dropped down to a very low reading which they should be. He was a very friendly/helpful guy and when I asked him what this could be caused by he said that it could be a build up of carbon on one of the valves causing it not to seal properly and giving the high reading, and could be in need of a de - coke. He then went on to suggest that I have the Ecotek Power Boost treatment done to the car (around £35) and this could help. He went on to say that he had done his own car, a landrover diesel and got very good results in running and performance. Done a bit of internet research and it looks like quite a good product - can be bought of Ebay for around £20 a treatment and is easily applied - just wondered if any members had used this product and what results they got.
