Help with a Signum that boot wont open

My 54plate signum elite has decided not to open its boot by any other means except climb into the back ( well the wife ) and open with key on emergency lock opener ... Have tried resetting by disconnecting the Battery this did not work. . When you press key fob and double click open for all dorrs the boot jumps half open but thats all ?? when you press boot open switch on fob or in car door switch nothing happens at all ?? any ideas ?? Please help if you can

I think I know exactly what this is as the same happened to me. With the car all locked up, when you press the boot release handle can you feel the switch clicking in and out and feel the handle moving slightly in and out?, or does it just move in once (or not at all) and not spring back?

When the car is all locked up and u press the boot unlock on the key fob ,, the indicators flash but the boot wont open ,, nothing happens when u press the pad on the bood lid

Is there a seperate fuse for the boot lid?

mm not checked the fuses, however the boot does half open if i press the door unlock twice on the key fob ,, so not sure ill have to check ,, good point though thankyou

But can you feel the pad moving and the switch underneath clicking open and closed when you push? - or does it feel like it's stuck in the release (up) position and not moving at all?

can you hear a werring sound from the boot when you press the boot handle? if so its probably not a fuse.

try pressing the boot handle and then the fob button at the same time?

No u can not feel the switch at all ,, is it a micro switch do u know ??

Yes, it's a micro switch and I know exactly what your problem is. I'll post some pics that I took when I sorted mine as I planned to put up a thread on it.

That would be sooo cool of you its driving me and the wife (lol ) nuts ,,, thanks for all the comments and help with this one ,,, other than that I love the Signum to bits
