Ball joint bolts problem advice
Hi just had to replace my ball joint pinch bolt on vectra c 1.8 vvt z18xer.The bolt is an E16 torx M10 X 65MM.Rang up vauxhall to get a couple and was told they have stopped production of these so ended up getting one from scrappy.
Was wondering would somethink like this have worked https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163125696...Cclp%3A4429486
Looks like the dealers are slowly stopping selling certain parts..maybe they want us all to go electric.Think people need to be aware if you plan on doing work on your car.

Yes to the bolt it's probably the grade that the original is. As for the availability of parts the last vectras were made 2008 is it any wonder parts are not available.

Cheers for response..The trouble is some parts are the same found on other vechicles .Also a mechanic said the same that certain parts are either on back order and never actually come available or are being discontinued even on some later models.

FYI
Hey, check out LEMFÖRDER Repair Kit, wheel suspension in the AUTODOC app https://m.autodoc.co.uk/lemforder/13787925
Well worth it if you’re ordering other stuff. I’ve had these on my car for a couple of years now with no issues. They do start to rust but no more than the original GM ones.
