Is there any adjustment on these as mine is clicking/cracking when the door is opened and closed, I've sprayed white grease into it but not made any difference.

Look at the how 2 on here that's all you need to do 10 mins and it's sorted
Do not grease them it doesn't help in fact you will make it worse the nylon doesn't like it. You can try the flipping it over worked for me for a couple of months but I greased mine hence the couple of months.
http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...king-door-stay
plenty of threads in the advanced search just type in door stay
undo the bolt holding it on A pillar, spin the arm 180 degrees using a pair of plyers, undo the 2 nuts holding it to the door, push into the door a bit and angle it down a bit to get some room, and spin whole unit back round 180, then bolt it all back up again
done mine last year, started to do it again now though, so looking like i will have to replace it
A-up Taff a blast from the past, just got home from work and follows the how 2. Very good and the cracking sound has gone.
Ohhhh noooo it's back again guess I'm looking at a new check strap!! Any ideas how much??
Approx £20
Check strap Part No is 9229750 (info from the HOW2)
Just search somewhere like Ebay for one.
eg http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...at=0&_from=R40
after i twisted it round it lasted for a year, just last week i changed it for a new one. cost me £16 on ebay and with delivery took it to £20. 10 mins to fit, job done. i undone the screws holding door card to door (3 along bottom, 2 behind door handle trim, which just pulls off) and pull door card outwards releasing it from the door, but no need to remove completly, then 3 screws to take speaker out, then you have plenty of room to work
Thanks lads
