fixed the creaking drivers seat (read this)

If you're like me and you have a creaking seat and it DRIVES YOU MAD haha! Well this might help you. I took out the drivers seat out of my vec and spent 2 hours trying to source this horrible sound finally I found it to be the brace that holds up the foam base of the seat. The
rear clips that connect to the frame are made from plastic and they rub in the hooks on the frame of the seat base. Making the horrible creak!! I simply took the plastic clips out of the hooks on the frame and soaked 4 strips of cloth in spray grease and wrapped them around each clip then I put them back into the metal hooks on the frame.

Cured!!

I don't have any picture but I'll try to get some up. I put the seat back in to see if had worked and cos it did I couldn't be bothered to get it back out.

I hope this helps anyone who suffers the dredded creak.

I know this thread is quite a few years old but im having the creaking drivers seat problem and its driving me mad! I was wondering if anyone has pictures of the area of the seat the op was referring to in the original post.
