Question Creaking Drivers side front spring

    Heya everyone.

got a small problem. ive had the car lowerd on standard shocks with eibach springs then 8 months have past and weve had this cold snap. now a problem had reared its head.

there is a creaking coming from the drivers side front when i turn the wheel at slow speeds.

took it to vauxhall and they said it was a dry top suspention bearing. tey said its nothing to worry about it might be dry or just worn slightly.

also if its not this any ideas to what it could be? my springs do hacve the seat Mod done and they are still in place.

Is it really nothing to worry about or is it actually somthing ill have to get changed ASAP?

    Thanks for the advice,

    Will

Its nothing to worry about. It's like Vx said. It's the strut top bearing thats creaking and it only does it whilst turning at low speeds. Change the bearing andit goes away. I think that lowering the car may put more stress on the bearing as mine done the same and I changed both the strut top bearings.

I can't really remember but I think they are about £15 each and take about 30-45mins eachto fit. You need to remove the strut and use a spring compressor. Then the bearing can be removed and repaced. Easy.
