    Default New Year Wash

    Ok, new year approaches, first i am going to " Clay " the car, then polish it, then wax it.....

    Roughly spend a few hours ( all day saturday) i dont have any machines so all manual work

    Whats best products

    I have maguires clay............ so whats next !!!

    hi m8
    i use :-
    wash
    clay
    wash
    ag resin polish
    poorboys polish (blue)
    ag sealant
    poorboys black hole glaze
    poorboys wax (blue) 2 coats
    normaly takes about 6-8 hrs

    when I did mine, I washed with Autoglym Shampoo & conditioner ( when rinsing dont dry it will act as a lube ), then I used the megs clay, then rinsed and dryed, then used autoglym SRP, then used Megs no7 glaze, then I used a coat of Poorboys Nattys wax .
    This aint a 5 minute job, so you may want to consider doing half the car at a time.
    Incidentally , I wasnt impressed with the megs No7, I believe it works better on darker cars - (mine is silver )

    wots the best thing to use to get black,av just got a standard polish and wax but doesnt come out as good as I'd want it to,any tips.a use turtle wax thinkin that thatl do because of the usual 'brand name' cenario if you get what i mean.am just not happy with it at all.would be great to get some advice on it thanks.

    the poorboys that i use are for dark colour paints and do the job very well

    anyone now what would be the best for silver lighting.. i've seen a few shiny cars in my colour but mines seems to have lost its shine with ite previous owner.. so what you think would bring it back? t-cut??

    hi
    the crystals in t-cut dont brake down so they will get rid of big scatches but leave loads of little swirls.
    the scratch X is good but will take ages by hand.
    i use a poorboys scratch remover 2.5 but again takes ages by hand.
    you could get a machine polisher (silverline orange)at the very least (£35)and some meguiars pads.

    you can hide light swirls by using Ag super resin polish or some glazes as they are full of fillers.
