    Default My cat fell off!!!!!!!!

    Well, Okay.. it was helped....

Following on from my chat at Irmscher with the designer of the Z32se and kicking round ideas for a while i decided to get the saw out....

Found it's much easier than i thought to do.. just drop the front pipes off, mark it all up and hey presto!!

Add to the mix, a short section of 63mm exhaust pipe, some quality welding and..

    there it was gone....

First impressions are VERY good...much much better throttle response, a bigger spread of torque and a noticeable increase in torque as well....

and the BEST bit.....what does it now average??...well, on our round trip all the way round the M25 from junction 20 where we joined, to Bluewater, then on to her mums by Gatwick and a lot of B road driving, then round the southern section by heathrow home again via Jn 20 and the A41 then back on to A and B roads.... go on.. guess......

29.9MPG ...and thats worked out manually, not on the trip computer.....and no.. i wasn't driving Miss daisy.....that was my usual driving style....

It's off or a trip on the emissions tester today to see just how low the emissions are, but it should be absolutley fine....

( sorry for the pic quality but good cameras don't survive in my workshop....so it's phone camera)

    Top Job Mark

We've all lost sight that when catalytic converters were originally fitted in circa 1990-1991, we did lose a few mpg.

Cats are worth £30 at the scrappers now too. I've two to go. Should pay for one replacement tyre at least.
