Default Center dash vents not blowing when temp turned up

    Hi all,
I have had an issue with my Vectra C for a while now.
When hot air is needed, the 2 front center vents will not blow anything. All other vents work fine.

But in the summer with cool air, center vents work just fine.
I have automatic 2 zone AC. Several times I have disassembled some of my dash only to see that all the servos move when operating.

Where to look for the source of this issue? I have an euro spec lhd car, 2007.

Couple of things press drivers side temp button to select single zone I.e. all as 1 not 2 zone. Next press centre button to select which vents you want to be used.

That's interesting, center button does not do anything when pressed. So gotta sort that out.
But is it possible that it could fix it? Just because the two side vents on the dash work fine. Only two in the center are ones that are dead.

Temp dial turned low, air comes out. And as soon as I crank it up, two middle vents shut off.

See if you can get any codes read. I would try and find a replacement unit.

I don't know if it's an actual problem, but the other day I noticed I have the same issue with the center vents. Perhaps hot air right in your face is not very nice, and will dry your skin out..?

About the center button it's a known issue. Re-soldering usually fixes the problem. Youtube also has some fix-it-videos.

I got it sorted out. Panel was easy to pop out, easy to disassemble and easy to solder.

Then after I got the button working, I was able to select vents and got some more flow out of center vents.

Issue with no airflow was that if distributed evenly to windshield, face and footwell, there is not enough air for center vents for some reason. If I shut off windshield or footwell vents, then I will get decent flow from center vents.

    I thank you both!
