Should I or shouldnt I?

When i pick my Elite up on thursday, The plan was to fit my 18's onto it. Looking at some pics of other Elites, they seem to sit quite high and i think it might look a bit naff if i fit my 18's when its looking like an offroader. The wife wont let me lower it for a good while yet as i preached on about how im more into comfort now and how we NEED this car etc etc.

Should i run it with standard alloys for a while and sell my 18's, or should i just stick the 18's on and see what it looks like
