colour sat-nav

Does anyone know if it is possible to change my standared sat-nav to colour screen, if so what is involved..cheers.....

You can't do it after market, even using the Vauxhall kit. the loom is different and is a big job to do.

Are we just talking change of screen here? You already have a satnav unit? Matt, i thought a colour screen could be added if satnav is already fitted. I know it's a hell of a job to do the whole lot from standard radios.

I was just confirming that Matt understood you already have satnav. It is hell of a job to do it from standard, even if you can retro fit the colour screen you will either have to buy a brand new one or be gauranteed to get one that has been programmed out of the donor car. The screens have a security feature built in to them, if it is removed from a vehicle without been programmed prior to removal it will go in to safe mode and lock up. It is an easy job to remove your screen via removing the centre airvents which the screen is attached to. The colour screens come up quite often on ebay especially in Germany, in fact there is a brand new one on there now here. You could run the auction through translation site and get the info. If it does fit then you will have to have the screen programmed to your car via tech2.
