Selling privately

How hard is it to sell a car privately? Ive only ever traded in.

Im thinking of selling mine private with all the kit on and just wondered what i should ask for it and how easy it would sell.

Its a 52plate Sri 2.2 petrol
32K
Just had its 40K service
A1 condition (as my best kept car com class win proves), there isnt even any dirt under the wheel arches.

Is it worth just putting it back to standard and trading in, or having a go private. If Private, should i put it back to standard anyway and keep the bits for my new car?

I'd keep the bits mate and you will get more selling privately than a trade in.

Have a go on e-bay. Sold the wifes car on there. Totally hassle free and got more than I wanted for it. For about six quid, you can put a full description and plenty of photos on there. Worth a punt

just put it on Autotrader, and i'll try ebay if that doesnt work.

I had more or less convinced myself to just keep it but i'd convincd the wife we need a new one so shes made me put it on autotrader lol
