    Default brake caliper paint

    hi all just had my new caliper fitted so now means i have 3 blue ones and a silver one i have no more of the paint i did them with before so im gonna go for the blue hammerite but which one do i need as there are a couple of kinds? also does anyone have pics of their car when they have used blue hammerite on their calipers? want to see what the blue is like?

    think others had shied away from the blue hammerite cos the blue wasn;t very good.
    i.m sure someone will come along with other options ...\btw the red smooth was good tho

    oh right cheers for that!! was only going for it as it was half the price of the caliper paint i had before

    yep half the price and twice as much....but blue options were poor

    so which paint do you guys use on the calipers? i might have a go at doing mine....what colour do you reckon for a dark blue signum?

    well i opted for red .....so hammerite smooth was a good option .....for yours ,its just a personal choice ,either blue or red IMO

    blue smoothrite looked great on my vec c. I posted a "How Too" on VVOC but havent been able to access that site for years.

    found it mate looks good and it also looks like the same colour as what i did before so might only need to paint the new one!!

    is this http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165495 the hammerite you used? i also found this http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165495 aswell which would dry quicker? or do you reckon they will dry the same time?
