Default quick update on my mate

British driver Paul Green and his navigator Matthew Harrison were in a serious condition on Tuesday after being involved in an accident in the first stage of the Dakar rally, a hospital spokesman said. Both drivers are in hospital in the provincial city of Santa Rosa after their vehicle overturned during Saturday's stage which started in Buenos Aires.
"Green is suffering from a blow to the thorax and spine, he has been detained since January 3 with artificial breathing apparatus," Juan Jose San Emerito, head of the hospital's intensive care unit, told the Telam news agency.
"We are trying to remove him from the breathing apparatus. His situation is serious but with a favourable outlook, although with this type of injury can only be judged by what happens over several days as complications can occur."
"(Harrison's condition) is serious and the situation has not changed."

    So fingers crossed for them

Default not looking to good :-(

My mate matthew harrison is not doing to good

    The Press Association
    Green and Harrison continue recovery

British driver Paul Green's condition is improving following his crash in the Dakar Rally on Saturday but co-driver Matthew Harrison remains in an induced coma.

Green and Harrison were rushed to different hospitals in Santa Rosa after the accident on the first stage of the prestigious event.

Doctor Juan Jose San Emeterio, the chief of Intensive Care at the Hospital Modelo, told PA Sport: "His condition is good, he is improving very well. We are now organising the way he will be taken to Buenos Aires."

He added: "It takes some time because of administrative issues. He must be taken with a plane that is not taking off from Santa Rosa but from Buenos Aires.

"It is coming here and then going back to Buenos Aires with Mr Green."

The news on Harrison is less positive.

Doctor Facundo Dossat, the head of the Intensive Care room at the Clinic Santa Rosa, said: "Matthew is stable, but keeps breathing through the respirator, in an induced coma.

"He will be in this condition for a little bit longer as it was a very serious lung injury.
