    Can anyone tell me if i need new swirl actuator?
    1.9cdti (150) siggy on 04 plate.
    Last may had new intake manifold and new EGR valve fitted.

    Car running like bag of sh** no power under 3000 reves that 1 prob.

    Now on start up engien judder like hell ( looked to se if wire on injectors .seems ok) and if i press the gas nothing happens. I looked today as it juddering and the swirl is just opening and closing all time.

    Anyone with any ideas im sat in cornre with my head in my hands rocking back and forth ....lol
    seriously i need help.

    Forgot to mention that when VX had car for intake manifold and EGR valve they must of forgot to put the pipe between the air intake on grill and the air box it self so the air is been sucked in from engein bay................would this cause problem ??
    Only noticed it yesterday.

    hi mate ive got exactly the same problem. and im rocking back and forwards iswell. had new induction manifold egr valve manifold actuator full service.

    i think my cat is blocked and the gases are not circulating properly. so took it exaust specialist who confirmed that its blocked. was quoted 992+vat from vx.

    im looking for a second hand one now.

    hello mate

    if VX changed your manifold, they will have replaced the actuator aswell, so doubtfull its that.....................


    if thats any help

    have you changed the 3rd plug wiring ?

    if your cat is blocked the best and cheapest way is to take it out drill the holow ceramic insides then knock them out so it is a straight through pipe bolt back on again costs you nothing and runs better with a few more mpg i did this with my mondeo and my mates vectra sri cdti 150 nd works a treat

    does removing the cat give a power/economy increase??

    im looking at having mine taken out. will it change the sound of the car? its £40 to have it removed at a garage, should i be keeping the cat once its removed?
