    Default 2.8T Vectra EML

Hi all and happy new year!

I bought 2.8T V6 Vectra two weeks ago, was working really nice and then I ordered BSR stage1 remap, installed it and went for a testdrive.. itīs amazing till you push it real hard and fast, about 4000 or 5000 rpm's it loses power and limp mode goes on.. I checked the error codes and those are:

P0007 fuel shutoff valve control circuit high
C2908 (i didn't find any reason for that)

I erased those codes and it's working fine again without eml light until pushed hard again. I tried also driving with normal map and there wasn't any problems.. hope you can help me, thanks guys.

Been wanting to do this on my 2.8T but have been put off by the number of reports that the ECU on the 2.8T is very temperamental, what sort of 2.8 is it a VXR or one of the Autos.

If it's only happening with the remap installed, they're obviously connected and going by the fault it's as if it may be struggling with the flow of fuel. BSR Should be able to help I'm sure as they do a lot of R&D before releasing something.

If the car works fine without the map then there is nothing wrong with the car.If you remap the car you may push things beyond their tolerances. If you've increased your emissions in any way or you are asking for something that 'your' engine cannot give then you will have problems.

I say 'your' engine, because 'your' map may well work fine on another car with the same engine.

Not as much as you might think.

They (may) test it on one example of a car that the map is designed for.Meanwhile Vauxhall or whoever are also messing around with their sensors and ECUs.

That's where the problem is as they only use 1 maybe a few test cars and a lot of them have differences in the ECU which has been found when the PPC needs to read the ECU. The OP's map will need alterations made to it by BSR so everything runs smoothly.
