    Default misted windows

now the weather has gotten colder, nearly everytime i get in the car in the morning the front and rear screens have condensation on the inside
the rear is not too bad as the heated rear window clears that in a couple of minutes but the front is a proper pain in the @rse
on very cold days the front even has a thin layer of ice on it
has anyone got any idea why this happens? or more importantly how i can stop it
i have tried shutting all the vents and it still happens, is it another vectra design flaw?

If that doesn't do it, the car just may have a buildup of moisture that isn't clearing with the cold weather, to clear the buildup leave the car running with the heater on full and the aircon on recycle for 30 mins after you return from a journey. That should heat up and remove the moisture.

Also clear out any stuff you have in the car that could be holding moisture - old coats, rolls of kitchen paper or things like that.

I mainly do short journeys, 3 odd miles or less and I get a build up of moisture in the car that doesn't get a chance to dry out. You really notice it in this weather as like you say the windows mist up.
Try running with your A/C (hot is fine) on permanantly for a week, see if that sorts it. HTH

It must be a bit of a phenomenon with the weather or the Vectra, as I don,t turn off the air con on mine and mine mists up sometimes, never had it freeze on the inside though. When the servo for the air "recirc" flap broke a tooth off. I sussed that the servo/"recirc" flap works in the back ground (so to speak) in othere words when you switch off the engine the "recirc" flap closes. Thus keeping the heat in the cabin of the car for longer. It is a bit annoying to have to wait for the condensation to clear from the windscreen though.
