    Default Opel Tech 2 software

    Hello,

I have an USB to OBD2 interface like the one shown in the picture below

I ordered it from UK along with the mini disk. The problem is that the software on disk returns errors and I am unable to use the interface.
I searched over the internet for it and I have found some versions of it but it didn't had my car type and fabrication year (2005). It was for cars made until 2004.
I'm not sure if I can request this here, but does anyone has this software version working properly and available for 2005 Vectra C ?

    Thank you.

    It depends what you're asking?

If you're asking if anyone has a genuine version of some relevant software working on that interface and year model then ask away.

If you're asking about getting a non-genuine copy (i.e. illegal) of software then that's not okay.

    Yes,

I am asking about the genuine software that works with that interface, if that's possible.

    Thank you, Duncan.

    OK

Where did you buy it from? If the software is causing errors why not contact the place you bought it from to see what the problem is?

The software I'm using is called Vaux-COM - http://www.ilexa.co.uk/content/category/2/5/2/ - and has a cable similar to the one in your picture. The software isn't cheap though - no decent diagnostic software is - but you get lifelong updates and the cable comes with it as well.

Some friend in London brought this for me and send it to Romania.

Seems that I didn't get this right.
The minidisk it's used actually to install the USB drivers for the obd2 interface ?

I need to use TIS to diagnostic my car ?

    PS. I have installed at home TIS 2000 version 87.0 G - 01/2008.

    Thank you.

I'm afraid this thread can't really continue - it's clear that we're not talking about legitimate software here. If you have TIS installed then it won't be a genuine copy as that's only available to dealers. We simply don't allow discussion about how to use software like TIS and EPC on here.

To save you wasting your time, you can't use that interface with TIS. You need to get some software like Vaux-COM if you want to do in-depth diagnostics or programming. It's not cheap, but that's because it's very comprehensive. I'd strongly recommend you get a legitimate version of it - do you really want to be plugging your car into some software that isn't genuine/has maybe been 'cracked'. Recipe for knackering your ECU/electronics.
