I don't live in London, but wonder how successful the introduction of the CC has actually been on reducing congestion? - The whole reason why it was introduced.

Is there any data available anywhere?

Why don't they do what they did in Belfast? Build a load of bus lanes bringing 2 lane traffic to 1 lane, then to save money take the buses off those routes. Yes, bus lanes with no buses! And you still get done for driving down them.

That's saved me a small fortune as I commute to Manchester every day. Wonder which City will go for the pot up for grabs now?

    Default No Congestion charge "yet"

It was announced at lunch time that Manchester will NOT be having the congestion zone as from 2013.
    All 10 councils voted NO.

I'm sure they will reduce the size of the zone later and go for it again.

Not sure if there's any data available, but for proof it hasn't stopped congestion take a drive down Mile end road any morning from around 5.30am onwards or try getting round Piccadilly, Parliment square etc during the day,its a ****ing nightmare and you have to pay for the experience.
