Have you checked you have water in the reservoir, its located behind the nearside headlight. If you have water it sounds like a tube has come off a connector somewhere. Is there a pool of water beneath the car when you operate the washers? The tube may have come off the pump. Get someone to operate the washer while you look under the bonnet for obvious leeks. HTH

Haynes manual states front bumper and wheel arch liner have to be removed to get at reservoir. Are you sure your jets are not blocked and the system is not full of sludge. Try disconnecting the tube to the jets and operate the pump. The system may just need a flush out.

There is a filter in the bottle on the pump outlet. It normally gets covered in crap. Remove the arch liner, pop the motor/pump out and have a look for it
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

As Big Sig says it's probably the filter. I've had to do mine twice but it's a fairly easy job, don't even need to take the wheel off although it'd probably make life easier. Make sure you clean the bottle out thoroughly after you've done the filter or it'll block up again in no time, that's the mistake I made
