whats this??????

Just hard wired my snooper into the car today, on the dash between the air vents for the front screen there is part that lifts out 4" square, under there is a connector with 2 wires not pluged into anything.

Any idea what its for?

I believe this is where there is an extra speaker on certain radio models, on my GSi i have 9 speakers for the stereo, the one near the window been the extra one.

If you're meaning on top if the dash, it could also the wiring for the 'dual zone' sensor for the climate control. If you've got normal a/c you won't have the sensor, but maybe the wiring is still there.

Not sure if it would be the wiring for the speaker as I thought all models had this centre speaker. The differnce between models being either 7 or 9 speakers, the extra two being tweeters in the rear doors.

thought it might had been that, my Saab had a sensor for the climate control on the dash, only got manual air con now

but IMHO a much nicer car
