Default vectra 1.9d 150 starter motor fuse keeps blowing

    hi!
i just bought a 55 vectra and i've been driving it for about 2 days.
today i tried to start it and nothing happened.
i checked the 25A fuse and it was blown.
i put another two in and they blew too.
I needed to get home so i put a 30A fuse in.
Managed to get home, but now the 30A fuses blow every time.

Anyone experienced this problem or have any ideas?

    thanks in advance

usualy a fuse blows when the starter is after more amperage to turn it over hate to suggest could be a fault with actual starter motor

prob a faulty starter, the fuse is rated for a reason (cable size) not wise to up scale.

yeah its not a good idea.. but needed to get it out of the pay and display car park before i got a wheel clamp

new starter or solenoid sounds like its needed. hopefully the 3 month warranty will cover it.. but you never know

I didn't think the starter motor had a fuse? But if it has then i'd agree with getting the motor tested

I always thought the main starter motor was direct from the battery, the battery being the fuse
