confused Parrot Kit fitted but Ipod intermitant?

Hi all, Ive just fitted a Parrot MKi9200 to my 56 Elite, with the CD70 Nav

The problem I have is when the ipod touch is connected it will work for a little while then the audio stops althougth the screen on the parrot says its playing, the phone side of it works fine even when the Ipod isnt

Sometimes the unit eventually freezes and I have to turn it all off to get it back on again

    Any ideas??

Can't shed any light on your particular problem, but i have the exact same problem playing my ipod through my TomTom and then through the car radio. Everything says its playing but no sound. Its well annoying aint it

Parrot have just called me, the guy on the other end was very helpful and appologetic, they have asked me to try all the inputs and see if I can pinpoint what point the unit fails.

They seem quite keen to fix the problem, I suppose this was to be expected with a new system, they said that until the system is given to the public they dont always know if all the problems have been ironed out and a fix will hopefully be issued soon.

As it stands at the moment the USB input doesn't work and the ipod audio stops after 5mins or if you access the menu on the Parrot, I can still listen to the ipod through the line in input and I can listen to music on an SD card so all is not lost at the moment.

check out the Parrot forum. Also mentioned on their. I have the Mki9100 with iPhone 3G and have the same probs. As you say, they seem keen to fix the problem but it is a new product and expect bugs - however, you would've thought there would have expected some of the basics to work!!!

this may help u with your problem.

if your using an ipohone or itouch make sure youve turned off the auto lock feature on the ipod its self as this would interupt the streaming music.

let me know if this helps

Autolock makes no difference. The view from other users on the Parrot forum site would suggest this is a firmaware fault with the Parrot kit itself. Thanks for the suggestion though
