emmissions light

had my stainless exhaust fitted for 5 days now and the emmissions light has just come on. i am having it reduced from 3" to 2.5" after the sports cat back to the y section on saturday will this make a difference. what should i do about this problem. starting to think i shouldent have bothered.

my exhaust is 2.5" straight through with duel 4" exits, and it's spot on. it did make a difference from standard.

if i have the engine remaped again after the exhaust was fitted would that eliminate the problem with the emmissions light.

See what code is in the ecu mate!! my car had a fault with the egt sensor witch was damaged when the down pipe was fitted.But if it's a lamda sensor your car can over fuel and burnout the cat!! But i think this only happens when in limp mode.hth
