    Default High clutch?

I've had my Vec a couple of years now and love it, except for the problems I've had with discomfort due to driving position.

I always thought this was due to a knackered seat, but since it's been replaced, I've wondered if it's actually due to the position I have to be in to operate the clutch properly.

Is it just me, or does the Vectra clutch pedal travel an abnormally long way? The car has done 50k, mostly on the motorway, and I've never had problems with the clutch (except the unfortunate judder problem that everyone seems to have with the 1.8).

Does everyone find the clutch unusually high? There doesn't appear to be any way of adjusting it, but it makes driving uncomfortable to say the least...

I never noticed it, a clutch pedal that sits just above is ok, but if it's say an inch above the brake pedal you have problems, could just be the spring is stretched, if the car has one.

Funny that I was only thinking about that the other day as mines the same, slightly higher than the brake pedal but all the same does make it awkward with respect to driving position, also , just thought, I did fit a clutch spring to the pedal a short while ago which ensures the pedal rises to it's full extent (stops possible premature clutch wear and ensures switch on pedal works correctly for cruise control), so maybe that's it?

Yep thats what it is,the clutch on the Vectra is shared with brake hydrolics so self adjusting...you should not notice any pedal difference on this car..unless you replace the spring.

Thanks for the confirmation mate, thought it might be the case.
    Cheers Pete
