Default How to deal with dealership?

I've got two problems with my car - slightly juddering when setting off and driving with low speeds and unevenly worn rear disc/pads. Both cases well known to Vauxhall but dealership where I service my car doesn't see the problem. I'd contacted Vauxhall and they told me I have to take it again to the dealer. i know what delar is going to say - there're no problems. So there'll be a nice ping-pong with me being a ball. I was thinking printing some thread should do some work but as it was simple with CDC40 Opera losing stations (there was VX case number) there aren't case numbers for my problems (that I'm aware of). Can you suggest what sort of politic I should play with my dealer to have thse issues sorted out?

    thanks

simple.. print off and take with you the threads on clutch judder and folks having theirs replaced by VX, and the same for the rear brakes... take them in with you.. that way they can't claim that no-one has ever had these faults....

mind you, the uneven wear on the rear brakes sounds like sticky calipers , so you won't get them replaced under warranty/FOC as brakes are a wear and tear part..

I've had rear brake pads and discs replaced under warranty, even taking into account wear and tear
What you need to show is excessive wear and tear, which is abnormal, and possibly caused by component failure

When booking your car in, just simply list the fault or symptom, don't go into any detail
Once the work is completed, do NOT pay for it immediately
Ask for the key to the car so that you can take a short test drive to check if the fault or symptom has been rectified (if the dealership say no you have to pay first, then avoid them in the future)
If you are happy then pay and leave
However, monitor the fault or symptom over the next month or 1000 miles
If there is even a hint it has reoccured, either book the car in or take it back for a reinspection
After the second repair, repeat the above process
If the problem is still present, ask the Service Manager to take a short drive with you, so that you can demonstrate the issue
If after another visit the problem remains unresolved, contact VX and advise them you are taking the car to a different dealership for an independent inspection
When this happens they will usually ask you to contact them with those details and they will send an area Technician to oversee that inspection, and then report back to the original dealership which missed the fault

Thanks for advices - I'll see the dealer tomorrow... hopefully all can be sorted out. I'll take some pictures of brakes to discus on forum if they'te OK.

thanks again - not too much response but highly valueable

btw - to m8internet - have you got any pictures of how were your brakes worn?

In my opinion it's not normal compared to front disc. I checked all cars on our car park and rear disc had similar usage (no such furrows) to front ones. Also remember condition of my previous car and it wasn't like this. Though I had a look on VX dealer parking and all cars had such a 'rubbish' rear discs.

Spoke with technician. Rear brakes they will clean pads and everything, this should help. There is no excesive wear. However I did yesterday some emergency braking on the beach and you can see pads and discs now work better.

Gears change - they will check linkeage and bleed brakes - see if it helps.

He said he can feel this judder, however it's not bad. I recon I'll leave it as it is and wait till judder be stronger. He admited VX exchange clutch and flywheel but wasn't sur if it's for my engine.

In total - I'm happy. My concerns were confirmed and should be sorted. However one question: if this judder thing is not very bad would you go for clucth/flywheel change or wait longer? I'm sort of affraid after changing them, the ca may not be the same

I would not put up with any judder. If it is under warranty get it done
