Default Whats so different about my Car???

    Hello,

I have just bought a 2005 on a 55 plate Vectra SRI. It's not the latest model which is out now. The thing is I was told it was a facelift model. To me it doesn't look too different to others.

Could somebody tell what is different about mine compared to say a 2004 model.

    Thank you.

As far as I know, what is discribed as the "facelift" model is the current one with the new front. There have been a few minor changes over the years with the old model (usually deleting bits) but nothing so radical as could be described as a "facelift". If someone's described one of the old models to you as the "facelift" model, then they've been telling porkies!!!

Perhaps some pics of your new car would help - as it could be a newer version of the C so to speak, with minor changes as Doug mentioned, or perhaps it is the actual facelift version like mine?

If you look at the top of this site's page, next to the Vectra-C.com logo you'll see the headlamp of a "pre-facelift" model. The facelift models has bigger lamps with three silver round lights within - a bit like the latest Astra.

No, it's not the very latest model but the Garage has stated that their were subtle changes.

I was too keen to get in the car and drive away at the time so now just curious to know

Round fog lamps are on the new versions for a start, older models circa 02 (I think) had square fogs.

Also I think the steering wheel controls were updated.

If you've just bought a "55" plater that's pre-facelift, you should have paid quite a bit less than you would for a "facelift" model! The pre-facelift models will certainly be worth a lot less at trade-in time!!!

I did. I paid just under £12000 and got £11000 for my Civic Type R so pleased with it. The car had only done 2500 miles as well
