Signum VXR

I know that it doesn't exist (not in name anyway) but I was just browsing around the Vx website and noticed that the 2.8V6 Turbo engine (as in Vectra VXR) is also available in the Signum!! I hadn't realised! It's only available on the Design Nav spec (comes as manual gearbox) and Elite Nav spec (comes as Auto). Not sure if you can get manual option on the Elite with that engine!

Anyway, just hadn't realised you can get that engine on the facelift Signum!!

I think it's 235bhp though is'nt it?

EDIT: just done some searching and it's 230bhp with Vauxhall badge or 250bhp with Opel Sport badge

It is, rather than 255 on the Vectra, but 230 would still be nice though! Only 18 more than what I've got now but I'm sure I'd notice the difference!

you've been concentrating on Vec-C too much D. I thought you'd of realised that it's available in the Sigbum; sorry, SIGNUM.

For some reason, Opel offer the Signum with a 250PS version (247bhp) where we offer it only in 230PS (227bhp).

As Duncan has stated, Design model in Manual and Elite in Auto, also Vectra Elite 2.8 V6T in auto.

But all you need todo apparently is change the map to the VXR map

But your handling and brakes obviously won't be up to VXR standards.

Floopin heck - that is a good price!!!

I do like the engine, after being in Sparky's VXR but don't like the idea of it being 20bhp down in power. I'm sure a remap would sort that out!

The Vectra VXR estate is definitely going to be on my short list when I come to change my car! (Says the person who has never liked estates!!)

lol - very old joke!!

I think the reason that I hadn't realised is that I haven't looked in great detail at the facelift Signum. I'm not really mad on what they've done to it so it hasn't been on the list for a potential replacement - hence me not looking at the spec in detail.
