    Default Alternative Grills

I have been looking at grills for the SRI. I like the Irmsher/Opel grills I've seen so far, however they look a little anonymous on a black car. Does anyone know of a supplier of metallic grills to fit the car? Nothing too bling mind! I ain't no dealer!

    Cheers guys,

The image I had in mind would be kinda like this...

(it's not a brilliant piece of art I know but it gets the idea across (I hope).

I can get one custom made from the states but I'f like to find an "off the shelf" option.

In my honest opinion it just doesn't do the front any justice

It might be better if it was a mesh and not lines like the picture.

    Just my opinion though

Fair points, With the car being black, I just felt the black grills created a hole in the nose rather than setting it off. The black Irmsher grills etc do look superb on silver and blue cars etc. I've noticed some VWs and Mercs with a metallic grill. Agreed, some work some don't. I wanted to know if there was anything on the market. The car hasn't been delivered yet so I'm still gathering ideas. Until I get it and I learn the exact styling I have, I can't begin to make changes.

I'd be curious to see a picture if anyone has the Irmscher grill with the brushed steel (?) top piece That could be a compromise.

Lots of chrome on the front of a dark doesnt really go well in my opinion. As alex suggested the Opel Signum grill is about a chrome as your gonna get, and while they look good on a silver or grey car, it just look wrong on dark colours.

The irmy grill your on about is probably the best option like you say, while not very exclusive, they do suit the cars very well and are factory in build quality.

Andy, I agree the Opel grill is a bit ott for me (Sorry AJA). I was thinking of something more subtle. Imagine the Other Irmy grill (the all black one) but with the Horozontal leading edges in a brushed steel or the like. it sounds like a none starter anyway.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a photo of a dark VX kitted out with the Irmy grill that has the metallic top strip?
