    i just wanted to know what the standard door speakers watt RMS is ???

    About 5, probably.....they're made of cardboard and sticky tape

    But they'll quite comfortably deal with an aftermarket HU if that's what you're getting at

    I only know that the standard speakers (CD30) can handle 4 x 20 W output

    I fitted a Clarion with mosfet and mbass, didnt change the speakers and it sound amazing

    The standard vauxhall speakers arent too bad you will get a lot more bass out of them with an aftermarket unit , the cdc 40 opera units run 18cm 2ohm speakers in the front doors

    The standard speakers should handle an aftermarket stereo no probs and will sound better but if you want to amp them you'll need to change them or just change them for even better sound quality!

    If I leave the standard HU, but change the speakers, will I get a better sound? I like the standard HU look!

    Yeah, in my experience you get a slightly better sound. I did it once on an Escort I had it it made a fair difference.

    The only thing about the Vectra head units is, that when they get above a certain volume or level, it cuts the base significantly! So you may lose the benifits of the new speakers.
