    Unhappy Vectra = Bunny murderer.

I was on my way to a call today heading down a country lane, when out runs a Rabbit, I braked hard and swerved a little but thump thump I heard! It's not the first rabbit I've squashed on my travels but still not nice. 3 seconds later the guilt had gone and I continued on my way. I did the call I needed to then headed off back down the same road the opposite way, I had forgoten all about the Rabbit untill I got to the point where squished rabbit was when out came a little baby bunny at exactly the same point, I braked hard and swerved hard but, thump thump!!! 12 hours on and I'm still feeling guilty!

    I blame the Vectra.

Oh dear, I'm not sure if that's unlucky or extremely skillful!!! LOL

Well, it's not limited to Vec C's either - Signums are bunny squishers as well!!! I had a similar situation a few weeks back. Zipping along a nice country road, bunny runs out from my right, immediately in front of me, braked (pointless exercise) and flattened it squarely under my nearside front tyre - badump, badump. I had my windows wound down as well so I caught a lovely whiff of all the fluids that were then sprayed around my wheel arch - lovely!!!

Felt a bit guilty for all of a few minutes! Well, there are zillions of the things around aren't there? And why oh why, do they wait until you are really close, and THEN run out into the road!!!??? Why don't they just stay where they are on the grass verge until you've passed?? Silly creatures!!

its not just veccys and rabbits, i was going down a dual carriage way in my berlingo van (belongs to work - but is hdi, lol) when a pheasant took off from my left and caught the frontlights and determined to do it properly decided to roll up the windscreen and got caught on my ladder rack. i had to drive with it there for about 10 mins before i could stop, luckily it just fell off and i carried on my merry way

Years ago I had a crow remove both my wipers (It left bits of itself behind in payment)
    Very messy and nasty....

I drive a 16 wheeled semi ( american accent dudes ) and one day about 4 in the morning going down a dark road 5 or 6 rabits jumped out in front of me , went back along the same road at 2 pm and the remains of 6 rabbits were on the road .. with other little rabbits nearby sniffing and obviously crying thats a guilt trip from hell !!

    Talking

I got followed down the motorway this afternoon by a Mondeo with an interesting front grille.....

where you or I would opt for a tasteful Irmscher badge, this discerning perveyor of the evil blue oval had chosen a rather fetching grille ornament in the form of the ar*e end of a pigeon (complete with tail and legs!).... I can just picture the conversation he'll be having with his lease hire company in the morning!!!!!!!
