I bought a bluetooth dongle off Ebay for a tenner, just installed it.

Didn't really expect much for the price but its bl00dy brilliant. - no need to 4rse around with cables, even picks up phones in the street!

Can send stuff (mp3's & pics) to & from my phone to pc, its wicked

Ebay - when it works its really good isn't it?

    Caterman,

How long have you had your V3? The Razor BT is ok, so should work no probs.

    Tim.
    BTW I work for Motorola.

About 8 months. It connects to the headset ok and will connect to the laptop if i reboot the laptop and phone. but if it has been used for any length of time it will not find it even if i ask it to find devices. It also does not find other phones in a room. My Nokia 6230 can be side by side with it and it will not find it, and the Nokia cannot find the V3. I much prefer the BT on the Nokia. It finds everything!
My daughter has just bought a V3 black so i'll test it against hers.

    aaahhhh Standard crappy Motorola BT.

Even with BT powered in the settings on the phone, it will power the BT down if not used for a while. although the BT symbol will be on the display. If you go to settings / cennections Bluetooth link you can select find me, or if that doesn't work you can turn the BT off and then back on. It will pick things up then.

Help me out here.I've never heard of these I've just been looking at these on Ebay and there's a lot of jargon. My question is, I have a bluetooth phone, If I were to get one of these could I then recover photos from my phone to my pc? I think I can but thought I'd ask you guys before I buy.
    Thanks

Yes m8. If you get a Bluetooth dongle for your PC, then you should be able to zip pics from your phone to your PC.

This is what i find strange....I used my V3 to make a call hands free no problem. After this call i tried to phone the wife...no go. BT had turned off. WTF i thought, so i powered up again ok. Spoke the the wife ok...BT turned off again. Tried the same with Nokia.....no problems all day. Make as many calls as i like, never have to restart. Go out of range, no problem, press multifunction button on headset once, BT connects to Nokia straight away.
Will it do this with the V3? Will it F**K

Back to the thread, yes Inspektor, you will be able to send pics to your pc. (as long as it's not a Motorola phone!!!!!)

DAMN! beaten by Duncan again. LOL

As said by the other guys, you can transfer both ways, mp3's are good as well, you can put high quality music on your phone.

The dongles are cheaper than £10 on Ebay as well but I bought one that bends in the middle so it takes up less space.

It was very simple to install, put the software disc in, follow on screen instructions, plug the dongle in a usb port & away you go.

A cable would be cheaper but less convenient & less fun, there's nothing like a new gadget is there?

Incidentally my missus thinks I'm sad, usually it goes something like "He's on that bl00dy car website again, or playing with his dongle" Does anyone else get this reaction?

No comments either about the last sentence pls, It's not how it sounds
