Default Is the battery covered under the three year warranty?

Can anyone tell me, definitively, if the battery is covered under the three year warranty?

I've just noticed that the little green inspection light on the battery is not on - indicating the battery is below par. This would explain a few issues I've had - such as the car not starting after cleaning the car, having had the doors open for a while and interior lights on. Things a car would normally cope with, with no problems.

I know it was covered by Network Q warranty but that's now expired - just the manufacturer warranty now.

Here in sweden the battery is under 3years warranty, and it would be strange if it wouldnt be the same thing with Vx.

Doesn't a green light indicate that the battery is ok ?

Thanks TechWolf - that's encouraging. It may well mean that it's covered in the UK then. I'm trying to find some documentation to see if I can get an answer.

In the meantime, if anyone knows for sure.....

    Thanks

i had my VX battery exchanged for a brand new one after experiencing the exact same problems,
took it in, they tested it, and agreed straight away that it was at fault and replaced it, however, the car was only 18 months old,,

solved the problems straight away and aint had a problem since

    hope this helps

Thanks BB. Was it under a Network Q warranty at the time though, or just the manufacturers?

i think it was done under the network Q system, but there wasnt any fuss what so ever,

i would just go in and ask em to do a battery test ( for free ) and then go from there
