I do not know about you guys, but im a bit narked at the constant state of my alloys. I have a sri and love the look of the wheel but they are always black. Now I know its not just my car as just about every one I see is the same.
Is it the factory pad? Or is it just the design of the alloy?
I have tried putting alloy polish on them but it doesnt do what it says on the tin( keeps alloys clean )

Yes m8, factory pads are the cause. Replace them with EBC Green Suff pads.

No idea m8, i've not fitted them yet but my son used to work in demon Tweeks and all the lads that came in fitted them. they give off a lot less dust and give less fade.

For EBC, try giving a company called JRT a ring. I've not used them for a while, but they always had really good prices when I did. The number is 01494 792211.

I know it might sound sad...
but i wash and leather my wheels nearly every day because of the dust etc..the wife just looks out the window shaking her head, she thinks I'm nuts; but hey clean wheels make all the difference..

Hiya, i fitted EBC Green Stuff pads on my old B SRI as i was fed up with all the dust from factory pads. Wouldn't go near them again though as the braking performance wasn't as good as with the std pads & the green pad was visible through my calipers, which was horrible !! The coatings of dust were lighter though & have heard about new improved versions of the pads. Would prob be best matched to the EBC discs as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about the above post by John H, as EBC are always improving the compound. Last ones I had (V4) were excellent and you didn't have to clean the wheels at all!

The guy who runs JRT does so out of his garage, so low overheads and cheap prices (hopefully).
