How do your cars perform from a standing start? compared to standard? what is your mid range overtaking performance like. Has it really improved? or is it not that noticable from standard? Does it chuck a lot of smoke out or just the same?

Diagnostix UK Tuning Box on a 1.9 CDTi 150.
Standing start - very different form standard. If you want a flying start it's difficult not to wheelspin in first and second. Third, Fourth, Fifth & Sixth just keep pulling, it's ace.
Mid Range - seems to go on for ever. 3rd gear is awesome compared to standard
Smoke - there is more smoke than normal, but it's not excessive. IMO

Im trying to get an idea what i should be aiming for with the 1.9 Box i have fitted. Its set on the 0 setting but has a range of +3 to -3. Ive not really tested it yet but its phenominal in 2nd gear and keeps trying to light the wheels up leaving roundabouts etc. Really really impressed. (its actually a bit of a handful) But 3rd gear isnt as different as i hoped. Ive not tested mid range overtaking yet as the road conditions didnt allow it, but im going to knock it up a notch and see if that chucks a bit more fuel in.
Andy - you're testing the Dragon box right? I can't comment on it, but the diagnostix box is awesome in pretty much all the gears. Turn it up and I'm willing to bet you'll notice a big difference.
Yep ive got the dragon box. The box is digital and the profiles can be changed by dragon. Im testing this one out to see what we get and provide feedback etc but i'll turn it up a notch and retest it. Theres no smoke or hesitation so i think theres room for a bit more.
I've got the Diagnostix box and it is actually more of a handfull to drive as the front wheels want to spin from a standing start if giving it the beans! (Lethal in the wet!!!) I'm learning to just start the wheels turning and quickly get into second before the revs drop. Second and third are brilliant but it pulls well in all gears. I don't usually have to drop below 4th in normal driving to overtake unless i don't have much road as there is so much torque. Overall, very pleased...
