ECO-Flex 30,000 miles Service Light

Hi,

Got my car serviced and Vx reset my Eco Flex, on pressing the button it read 15,000 miles to next service instead of 30,000miles.

Took it to the dealer today, they could not re-set it to 30,000 miles, they even got on the phone to Vx Tech Support. They think my car has been set up as having a DPF (hence the 15,000 miles).

Vx Tech support gave them a list of things to try and my dealer said they would need more time.

I just checked it now (after returing from the dealer) it is set at 31,000 miles.

Do you think they have fixed it?

I possible to re-set the Eco-Flex interval in between services?

Car is booked in again for them to look at, but they may have fixed it.

Have people seen the Eco-Flex resrt to 30,000 miles or 31,000 miles?

Just realised that 50,000Km = 31,000 miles.

Is this significant I wonder?

I had mine changed between services, no problem, they can set the mileage to whatever they want.

You will notice the fuel warning comes on at 31 miles as well , time we went metric ....

Can individual owners reset the ECo-Flex in between services (odometer reset and ingnition on for 15 secs?)

So, if the display indicated 8000, could the owner reset to 31,000 miles

Also, did yours reset to 31,000 miles?

Mine reset to 19,000?? being a Petrol it has a shorter service interval I think ?

My petrol had 21,000 on the clock until next service.

Same as Adamant - mine showed 21,000 when switched over from EcoService to EcoFlex - so if yours is showing 31,000 it's probably okay. Not sure why the extra 1,000 is there but it seems to be the way it is!

Can the service reset function be applied manually in between services? ie reset it to 31,000 miles?

mines a 2.2DTI and when i had mine serviced at 20,000 miles checked the indicator to make sure they had reset it it said 29,000 to next service ......strange !!!!!!

Drinky ... yours should have been 30,000 miles?

Mine initially would only reset to 15,000 miles, Vx thought the car may have been set up incorrectly .. by Vx HQ

The dealer played around with it and has re-booked it in to fix .... not realising that the interval has already now changed from 15,000 miles to 31,000 miles *ie 50k KM

Confusing .... but can you reset the interval between services manually ?
