    Default Backed off

    Hi all,

Whipped a Range Rover tonight on the M6, the road was clear & we both joined off the A38M.

There was a slower car in front doing about 40 & the Range was irritating me - about .005mm off my bumper.

I waited patiently, joined the M6 & moved into the middle lane, holding back until the Range pulled sharply into the outside ready to race past.

    Then I floored it.

The Vec took off like a rocket - I caught it just right & left the kn** head trailing way behind. He quietly pulled back over after a few seconds by which time I was miles ahead.

I reached about 75 & held this speed on the CC. The guy caught up after about 5 mins & came past a bit warily (I think he thought I would do it again)

Childish I know (Ranges aren't quick anyhow except the Sport) but good fun nevertheless.

I'm trying not to speed now as it's not worth it, I accelerate hard but try to keep within the limits as there are cameras everywhere. My Mother just got done & she's the slowest driver in the world!

What do you guys think, should I have hammered him again??

    I

No mate, you made your point. Well done for not going too far. I wish I could hold back sometimes.

Thats what I thought guys, thanks.

Loads of times Ive really pushed it & then regretted it after.

I am amazed at how you can throw the vec into a corner for a big car.

I had my vecs back end out on an island three weeks ago braking hard!! I swear it felt like the one back wheel lifted off.

I nearly cr@pped myself though & decided thats it - more restraint now, risking cameras, safety, hammering the car- for what??

Only a matter of time before something happens if you push your luck all the time.
