Wayne, how far out of warranty is it? Is it time or mileage?

Get onto Vx Cstomer Service. Explain the situation and that you're not very happy. You're only two months out of warranty (and your mileage is way inside the 60k) so see if they'll cover most of it as a goodwill gesture.

My brother had a major engine part (oil cooler) go on his Vec B V6 and he was a couple of months out of warranty but well inside the mileage (like you). Vx ended up covering the vast majority of the cost and he only had to make a small contribution.

    Worth a try.

That is bl00dy unlucky mate, you could try and get a goodwill gesture out of VX as it's only just out of warranty........but I wouldn't bank on it
