    confused UEC Help :)

Hello all, long time since my last post...

Anyway, I have decided to start modding my Veccy again, and I attempted to have my fog lights programmed in last weekend and I now know a man who can with his tech2.

Now, The BCM programmed in fine and he set the fogs from not present to present.

The UEC however was another story. It says unavailable. so I am guessing that my UEC isn't compatible.

I have had the fogs in for like, forever now as I bought them when I bought the car nearly five years ago!!! Just didn't want to splash out on vauxhalls silly prices!

What UEC would I need, you know, the Ident / product code? My Car is a 1.8 Petrol Club if that makes any difference.

I know this has come up a million times already, I have just been given new hope to actually complete this long winded project! And is it just as simple as pull the old one after divorce, put in the new one and marry?

Thanks to anyone who can help me

    Sean

You do not even have to divorce and re marry a UEC, just a straight swap. I got my UEC from 52 plate Elegance. UEC I used was Ident AK, but Idents compatible so far are AJ, AK, AL, AM, AN. Just remember if you get one from a Saloon you will need to activate the rear wiper.

Thanks for this I will order one today. I was thinking of hard wiring them in to the car, but thought I should see if anyone else can help first.

I will post again in due course!

    Thanks again

Haha yeah, just bought it. First one I saw lol. And, its not like it's too expensive either, so if it don't work, then I haven't lost much! He has a dealers address and its only 30 mins up the road from me!!

I am too excited now, would love the factory look. Cannot wait.

Yeah, as I mentioned in my first post, it was one of the very forst things I did when I bought the car 5 years ago...I didn't realize back then that Vauxhall made their cars so blooming un-modifiable in terms of having to program everything!
