    Default Engine Stalls under Braking

Hi noticed yesterday ( Same time I was told about the my brake lights flashing , separate post here ), that the car stalls wen the brake pedal is used. I had some issue with it irractically reving so unplugged the EGR that issue went away now this 1 has arisen. ( I've cleaned EGR and plugged it back in and not noticed that problem again. Yet! ) I Drove to work and it stalled a few times under braking for turning junctions and I sat out side and had car running, depressed brake pedal and after 3-4 seconds the car stalls. Starts up fine again after. Any 1 have any ideas?

Vacuum pump or vacuum servo fault? The pump provides the vacuum for both the brakes and turbo wastegate - can't think of anything else (not knowing enough about the electrical systems) that could link the brakes and idling/general engine systems.

I have unplugged the Brake pedal switch, and the car doesn't stall when pedal depressed. Plug I back in and the car stalls again wen brake depressed. Brought a new switch, and no difference, still stalls and works ok unplugged. Brake lights are flashing like the emergency brake setup but Im not touching the brake pedal as its doin it.

ok, problem sorted. the wiring loom clip had broken on the air filer box resulting in it dropping down next to the cambelt which in turn tore through the cabling. Hence to say I had about 10 bare wires all shorting and giving me jip. all fixed now though. Thankz for your input
