Default ADVICE NEEDED: Head unit too deep for my Fiat Ducato Van

Hi all, I am trying to fit a single DIN HU into my Fiat Ducato Motorhome 1994 (Talbot Express). The head unit is too deep and will not fit all the way into the dash so I need an adapter to bring it out about 25mm. Does anyone know if you can get such a thing? Not getting anywhere with Google lol

So does the headunit stick out too far or does it disappear into the space?

Check on the back of the headunit there may be a screw in spacer it will just look like a black plastic plug, it might unscrew effectively making the headunit shorter, do you have any pics?

I have a wiring harness behind it and it does not want to move out of the way. There is not a lot of give in the wiring so that's why I was wondering if there was some sort of adapter to bring the HU out

Is yours one of the ones with the gearstick to the right hand side of the radio? If so, I *think* it's a case of dropping the glovebox down and pulling the wires across while pushing the radio in, but it's been at least 10 years since I've seen one of them so that might be completely useless info.
