I reckon you are going to need to either get the fob repaired (you don't say what broke, so this may not be an option), or, get a new key.
Should be able to get a new one from Vx if you have your car security pass (gives key code/security code) and possibly even get it less 25% if you register for the Vx Masterfit Scheme online (it's free but gives you 25% discount of parts and servicing).
The cheapest way of doing this though would be to buy a "virginised fob" suitable for your car (around £40-£50 from ebay), get a blade cut to your car code again via ebay (around £10). Then get someone local to you with Tech2 or equivalent to program it to your car.

Get a local auto locksmith to quote on a new fob
I went to get the battery changed and when they opened it up something broke off so I presume I will need a new fob. I've asked in rowcliffes and they want £200 (to be honest I think I prefer the sound to paying that!)
I would not want to be your neighbour if every time you opened the car the alarm went off. Its likely that the bit that broke off can be soldered back on or similar.
The funny thing is I start her at 7 in the morning! Lol the alarm isnt very loud tbh, that would be ideal but he lost the bit that broke!
Just looked on gumtree and there is several key fobs for sale.just put vectra key fobs into search--hope this helps-----Dave![]()
You will get some advice from someone on here about that, you might have to visit a dealer but as i have said someone will be along.you might want to do a search on here also-----Dave![]()
You can't re-program a used key fob for a Vectra-C or Signum.
Only thing you can do is either buy a fob which has had the chip replaced with a new one, or buy a new fob tht has never been programmed to a car before.
