The dimming mirror runs off a separate loom to the interior lights/light-up visors, etc. It's as straightforward as dropping the headlining some and running the loom from front to back where it plugs into the REC. The mirror is straight slide-on replacement for the bog-standard one. Well worth doing it not to be dazzled by numpties behind you.

Sure there are some how-2's for this, either way its not that difficult.. I went a bit further and wired in the dimming drivers door mirror on my vec too, and i've added a dimming rear view mirror to the girlfriends old corsa b and her current mk4 astra.

oh good, thanks for that, so either fit direct to rear fuse box with correct loom, or just retrofit with igniton live? does that work the little light on it then aswell?
