Vectra C Fuel smell
I seem to be posting weekly since I have owned my Vectra C Direct, It seems obvious that the Z22SE is a much better engine than the Z22YH. lol!
I can now smell fuel from inside the car and when I turn the engine off and listen I can hear like a hissing sound around this area in particular:

Is there any common problems or easy ways to find the leak without using a lighter or match
Cheers Guys

i had a fuel smell turn up in the car, so while car was running had a look under the car and can see petrol dripping out from under the engine, turned out to be a dodgy fuel injector seal and was leaking from that, same sort of area as the picture aswell

i had a leaky injector seal on my signum once, it would stink of petrol as well. It was quite an easy job to fix but I had to change the O rings around the injectors and the cups..

Would a leaking injector still making a hissing noise after engine is turned off tho? does it for about 5-10 minutes, so im assuming its something to do with high pressure. Are the fuel lines high pressure before the injectors or before and after?

no mine did not do that... once the engine was off it was quiet... doesn't your engine have the high pressure fuel pump in the engine bay?

Yeh it has the dreaded High Pressure Fuel Pump, but no noise coming from that luckily!

Have you checked out the website http://www.z22se.co.uk/forum/
These guys have loads of knowledge and info on both the Z22SE and Z22YH engine, they might be able to help.
