Ok so I went on compare yesterday and got a quote for my focus st.Now esure were coming out cheapest so thought brilliant but it turns out you can drive your partners car under 3rd party??? That was a non starter so the next best one was a company called one call. Loads of standard benefits etc but theyve got high admin charges. We will be changing address in two months so that's going to be £55 plus whatever the increase in premium is going to be and I can guarantee it will go up as ive done quotes online already and its nearly £250 dearer at least but one call cant give me a quote of what it will be at the new address as they can only do it at the time you move. In total im paying £539 for one call which to be fair is very good but theyve got loads of bad reviews and the admin charges are a joke but ive already proceeded to go ahead. Policy start tomorrow but they still want 49 quid to cancel for the set up fees.
Now greenlight have a fairly good reputation and just spoke to them and they say they wont increase the premium for my new address in two months but obviously no guarantee as its just what the guy over the phone said. They want 630 with a deposit of 117 and 57 a month for 9 months whereas one call was a 50 quid deposit and 48 a month roughly with a total of 539 for the year. Now greenlight also said they wont charge for moving as there would be no increase in premium but thats just what they say over the phone and might change their minds when it comes around to it. If I pay it in one with one call it would have been 490 but greenlight would have been about 549 for the year. Dont really want to pay in one hit so what do you think I should do?
Cancel my policy and pay 49 quid to then pay more with greenlight as they are more reputable or just stick with ine call and take a chance the premium wont go up that much when we move?
Cheers
