Friend has just text to say they have bought an 8 year old 2.0l Elite Vec C with 80'000 on the clock. She says it has a full service history, not seen the book myself. Just wondering if there are any common probs or known issues with these.

Are we talking diesel or petrol here?
Petrol Kev. Just wondering if there are known common issues and what to look out for. eg is it belt or chain
Engine is a Z20NET, it's actually a Saab engine (B207L) and is a very reliable and tunable unit.
If you search Z20NET you find it's been covered quite comprehensively.
They are chain driven, no common problems come to mind, just the usual Vectra gremlins to look out for really, nothing exclusive to the engine
