    Default GSI Launch Control?

Hi again guys. I know this is the best place to come for advice on my GSI. Just wondered if anyone has fitted a launch control device to there car? It might just be my driving but when i turn TC off and give her the beans from a standing start i find it hard to find the right throttle position to get good traction without spinning the wheels. My friend has a Fiesta ST with this fitted and he can switch it on and off at will and it holds the revs at a pre-set limit.

Any info and any know products available like this would be appreciated.

Why would you need it? I know we all like to drive "enthusiastically" from time to time, but getting that extra 0.2 seconds when going from a standstill really doesn't matter does it? If it does then spend your money by all means.

I wouldn't have thought the kit was expensive as all it's really doing is interrupting the spark when you hit the set limit? I'm not interested in saving 0.2 secs on 0-60 time I'm trying to eliminate wheel spin on take off. And i suppose leaving TC turned on does this but I feel it takes over completely when you go for it and doesn't cut out soon enough unless you come off the throttle altogether. As soon as I start my car I turn the TC off. Even coming off round about's it cuts the power on me.

What tyres do you have on? Unless you're mashing the throttle even with a 3.2 you shouldn't lose traction all the time?

Iv got khumo ecsta sport tyres all round on at the moment. They are in the plan to be changed at some point aswel. As for the price of the kit, if you look around the net you can pick up kits for around £120-£150. This is the same kit fitted to my friends car I mentioned before. I was just wondering if anyone on here had fitted one to a GSI. Im a mechanical engineer to trade so im sure its not beyond my capabilities.
