    Plug and play.

If it came from a car with a different aircon type than yours you can get this changed later on.

Im on verge of buying one from a 07 plate cdti, mine is a petrol, does this matter? And what if there is no car pass code for it? And lastly there is no aerial so will it still work apart from satnav? I just want a colour screen anyway. I dont want to have to divorce/marry/tech2 etc... Cheers please help before i waste money! Lol

You won't need the pass code if the units are already paired together.

You can get a fakra GPS from the likes of ebay which will sit in the tray for the centre dash speaker (just lift the tray out and drop in the satnav antenna and plug it into the CD70 below).

I'm not sure if you will need the security code from the donor car if anything ever needs to be re-programmed however (like TPMS) so am sorry I can't give you the final final answer, but as far as a working satnav, it should be ok.

The dash trims are different on a facelift from a preface which has "squarer" edges to the trims. You could probably live with the finish or look out for the pre-face trims however there was only a short time period when the car went from halfcan to fullcan before it finally became a facelift, so there aren't too many pre-face trims around that will suit the CD70, BUT they are out there.

The problem is that most of the trims are sold with the SatNav displays and HeadUnits, so don't hold your breath.

Dam!! I just buchered a CID pre face surround to fit my cd70!! Arrhh a nice little swap would have been in order lol just done it a month or two ago, bad timming lol but in answer to ure question as mine I dont have the pass code, I can get it but at present I dont need it, but yea it will work if its the cd70 and CID are a pair, but urw fuel type is different so ure mpg will be off but u dont need a pass code to change the code index to a petrol code, I dont think anyway, plasma would be able to sort u with a security code, and robsey would help u with the code index, ino it sounds complicated but its not really.
