Looking at a Signum 2.0T tomorrow

Hi everyone,

First post and a potential new owner!

I need a new daily daily driver and the Signum ticks alot of boxes. Ideally I wanted an auto Elite model but there dont seem enough around to be that choosey. I'm going to look at a 2005 Signum Design 2.0T 6speed manual with 2 previous owners and 65k on the clock. Having never owned a turbo'd car or a vauxhall before I thought I'd ask on here if there's common problem areas or faults I should be looking for? I cant seem to find a buying guide for these other than what's on parkers.

The car has full service history (not sure if this is main dealer or not though yet). Apparently it's recently had a new turbo...is this a good thing or does it suggest something is wrong? do turbo's generally fail after 60k miles?

Any info on signums or the 2.0T engine would be a great help!

the engine is called a Z20NET, its the same Saab 9-3 turbo engine, very smooth and tunable. Its a very reliable block and will put a smile on your face.. The signum is based on the vectra estate floorplan but slight better built and more gadgets as standard than a vectra..

built in Germany but still suffers the standard vauxhall things.. main issues are broken springs but they and most other things are easy enough to fix...

In short a good car for small money... lots of help and support on here for them..
