ok... so we have to do the inlet manifold de-coke, but has anyone ever done the actual intakes themselves, and if you did, how was it done without filling the bores with crap.

I've done the manifold on an old 2.0DTI Vectra B and a 2.2DTI Saab 93, neither of which posed any major problems. The EGR valve was rather stuborn on the 2.2DTI and I tapped it out with a hammer and drift in the end. What exactly are you worried about?

That part is also removeable from the head is it not?
